The ketogenic diet is amazing for maintaining mitochondrial health and longevity. I’ve done it for nearly 4 years and have seen great results in everything I do.
Over the course of my keto journey, I’ve gained about 15 pounds of lean muscle without ever getting fat. It’s incredible for lean gains.
Recently, I’ve decided to try to push my muscular growth to the next level and document my lean bulking on the ketogenic diet. I’m going to be doing it on keto + my modified OMAD diet.
This is the first introductory video for my upcoming series Keto Lean Gains that explains how to lean bulk on keto.
Here are the principles of my training and nutrition:
– Mostly on resistance training with either weights or calisthenics
– Workout every day in some shape or form
– Spend the majority of the day in a fasted state and eat one meal a day
– Eat a ketogenic diet with some nuances in the macronutrient ratios by increasing the carbs and protein slightly
– Consuming around maintenance calories with a very small surplus on harder training days and at a deficit at rest days
– Try to recomp my current bodyweight and gain a few pounds of muscle while losing body fat
I don’t have any particular training goals other than build muscle, progressively get stronger, lose body fat, increase longevity, and improve overall performance
