In this video, Denise explains in detail the makeup of Macros for the Keto Diet and how to calculate them. Macros are the source of FAT, PROTEIN, and CARBS that make up your calories that provide you with energy.

With Healthy Keto, our macro breakdown is:
70% FAT
20% PROTEIN
5% VEGGIES
5% CARBS

9 calories = 1 gram fat
4 calories = 1 gram protein
4 calories = 1 gram carbs

Fats are more dense which is why they are more filling.

Calories are calculated based on gender, weight, height, age, and activity level. With Keto, we don’t count calories but they are used to determine your target macros.
